Jim Corbett Diaries || What to do in Jim Corbett apart from the jungle Safari?

Nov,2020

What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you think of Jim Corbett?
Jungle Safari, isn’t it? Rarely do people know that Jim Corbett has much more to offer apart from its Jungle Safari.

Day 1: When we started our journey to Jim Corbett, we were sure we didn’t want to opt for the Jungle Safari. We just wanted some time to relax and be with each other. The most amazing part of Jim Corbett is that it offers you a feel of both the hills and the forest alongside the Kosi River. The temperature is just perfect, the journey is super smooth and most importantly the resorts there are massive unlike the hills. As soon as we reached the resort, we decided to hop on a bicycle and take a tour of our amazing and beautiful resort – “The Golden Tusk” which is spread over huge acres of land. They have a bicycle track built across their campus specially for this. They also have a lot of sports amenities in the campus, a basketball court, a badminton court and a play area for the kids.
They have cute little villas with narrow water lanes flowing by the side and have amazing forest view rooms. The menu of their restaurant is not huge but the taste is very good. They will cook for you the Pahadi meat/chicken if desired.
In the evening, they also have high tea organized at their lawns.

Day 2: The second day we checked in to the “Taj, Corbett”. The property has a private access to the Kosi River. What you must try at Taj is their high Tea they serve right beside the Kosi River along with mouth watering snacks.
We also got up early in the morning which we rarely do to enjoy the view as mesmerising as the one Taj provides by the Kosi river.
Loved every bit of our stay. In the evening, they have a musical live evening organized at their open air bar where you can order and enjoy cocktails or their special hot Toddy like we did.

The Benjabi recommendation:

  1. Stay at the Taj,Corbett
  2. High tea by the riverside
